Richard Smith is an independent transport and strategic planner who seeks to integrate transport, planning and development to achieve holistic solutions to urban environments. He was the principal transport advisor to the ODA and LLDC’s planning functions, and held a similar role for local transport integration for HS2. As Transport for London’s first Director of Planning, Richard was responsible for development of the first London Mayor’s Transport Strategy, including oversight of the transport aspects of the London Plan.
