Frame Projects is a design focused project management consultancy. We are UK-leading experts in design review – providing independent expert advice to clients, design teams and planning authorities on achieving the highest possible design quality in development proposals.

 

We manage independent, multi-disciplinary design review panels on behalf of thirteen London planning authorities: Barking and Dagenham; Barnet; Brent; Bromley; Camden; Ealing; Greenwich; Haringey; Havering; Kensington and Chelsea; Redbridge; Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation; and Waltham Forest.

 

Outside London we manage design review panels for: Ebbsfleet Development Corporation; Epping Forest; Folkestone & Hythe; Reading; Somerset; Suffolk; Thanet; and Watford.

 

Frame Projects is also Secretariat to the HS2 Independent Design Panel, set up at the request of the Department for Transport to help ensure that, through great design, HS2 delivers real economic, social and environmental benefits for the whole country.

 

Building on our experience of design review, Frame Projects has also pioneered community review – enabling people to share local expertise with developers and planning authorities. We manage community review groups for Brent Council; Ealing Council; the Isle of Dogs and South Poplar Opportunity Area (for Tower Hamlets Council); Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation; and the Old Kent Road Opportunity Area (for Southwark Council).

 

Because of our reputation for bringing people together to build consensus on complex design challenges, we are regularly asked to carry out design research. We have led research projects for the Greater London Authority, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the National Infrastructure Commission, Sheffield City Council and Transport for the West Midlands. Our management of the London Legacy Development Corporation Quality Review Panel over a 12-year period culminated in a comprehensive, pioneering assessment of the panel’s impact.
