Simon Henley

Principal, Henley Halebrown

Simon Henley founded Henley Halebrown in 1995. The studio was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2018 for Chadwick Hall for the University of Roehampton, and again in 2022 for Hackney New Primary School and apartment building 333 Kingsland Road, which also won the RIBA Neave Brown Award. Simon combines practice with design review, writing and research, and is the author of Redefining Brutalism and The Architecture of Parking (winner, RIBA International Book Award for Construction, 2008). Simon is Chair of the RIBA Awards Group.
