Tahera Rouf has nearly two decades of experience as an architect, working across housing, education, and community projects with a focus on collaborative and socially driven design. She was project lead for the award-winning retirement housing scheme in Harpenden, recipient of the Inside Housing Development Award, and has delivered a 140-unit later living scheme in West Malling designed to achieve a 3-star Fitwel rating. Tahera is now an Architect and Design Advisor for the Department for Education, contributing to the delivery of high-quality learning environments. She is also co-founder of the female-led collective ‘The SaLADS’ which organises architectural tours around the UK to promote public access to and engagement with design. She is a former trustee of Toynbee Hall and remains committed to addressing the causes of poverty in London.
