REVIEW PANEL
Grade II listed Fullwell Cross Library in Barkingside, Frederick Gibberd, part of the
Barkingside Town Centre project, DK-CM for the London Borough of Redbridge
Redbridge is experiencing a period of rapid growth and development – and the priority for the London Borough of Redbridge is to create exceptional places where communities thrive and enjoy a good quality of life.
Redbridge has a rich and diverse character – with 16 conservation areas, some 400 statutory or locally listed buildings and two registered Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest – and it is essential that development integrates successfully into what already makes Redbridge distinctive.
Opportunities for growth across the borough are great – not least with the arrival of the Elizabeth line (formerly known as Crossrail). The largest opportunity areas – Ilford and the Elizabeth line corridor – are already seeing significant developer interest.

In addition to adopting a number of strategies and policies to promote growth, the borough has established a Design Review Panel to support both officers and members in achieving high quality development.
The Redbridge Design Review Panel is chaired jointly by Teresa Borsuk, Senior Advisor at Pollard Thomas Edwards, and Richard Lavington, Director of Maccreanor Lavington.
