The quality of the built, natural and historic environments within Suffolk is one of the area’s key assets, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit.

There are five local authorities in Suffolk: Baberg Council; East Suffolk Council; Ipswich Council; Mid-Suffolk Council; and West Suffolk Council. They have come together with the County Council and Highways Authority to establish Suffolk Design - a local authority partnership which promotes and celebrates design and placemaking across Suffolk.
